A2 Contextual Studies.

To begin my new AS/A2 project I started by visiting the V&A Theme Tour online. I chose one photograph from each of the 8 theme's that I liked the most.

 

This is my favourite image from the theme Documentary. I chose this one because the contrast in colours. The piercing red and neutral white are two colours that stand out tremendously against each other.

 I chose this photograph as my favourite from Portraiture theme as the image is so simple with plan background and neutral skin and facial expression it still has a high effect.

 I chose this image from the Landscape theme. I particularly like this image as the sepia look due to the light reflection makes the image look old and rustic. 

 This was my favourite image from the Architecture theme. I liked this image as the tricycle in the foreground of the image has a great proportion and angle this image was taken from makes the houses in the background look rather small.

These are some of my favourite images in each of the eight themes. Each image I chose I liked because they are all peculiar and have something about them thats stands out amongst the others.
